In parallel with my offshore contracts, I have prepared a presentation for teaching in Propulsion.
The material is based on my experience from my background as Superintendent Engineer. It takes place at EUC, and the audience is 3rd year apprentices at the Ship Fitter education. It is a great pleasure to share knowledge after performing Propulsion jobs worldwide.
At every Rig / Platform & ship I have boarded, I have a special (HSE) attention directed to any place where there is a risk of accidents may occur, I immediately analyze ongoing actions: lifting gear, persons, PPE, their presence / focus on their task, and of course: exits, Muster points, fire & rescue equipment, etc.
It’s essential that my students understand the importance of this, therefore it’s an integral part of my materiel where I emphasize that, SAFETY is first priority!
My præsentationen contains pictures text, history & useful knowledge presented with humor to keep the students focused.
Through my evaluation form, I get constructive feedback, filled out by each student.

Superintendent
Visits to more than 56 shipyards
During my visits to shipyards worldwide, job scopes has been project lead on propulsion equipments, thrusters, & tail shafts, reduction gear & Main engines. Complete overhaul/repairs ,bearing replacements of shaft seals, & class inspections on large Wessel’s. All from the first step to final testing / adjustments. Participation in sea trials and reporting to the customer. Etc….

It´s a pleasure sharing experience and knowledge, even though the material is well known in detail is there personal development in teaching, which I find very enriching. The topic is ship Propulsion, it’s currently being held at EUC, the material is technical excerpts from my own reports, photos, and not least narration based on my projects done worldwide.
Offshore Technician
Flexible production technician with experience from several platforms in the Danish sector. Able to join at short notice without fixed rotation, all relevant courses are up to date.
From my time at Tyra East where I as runner for the Control room took part in the daily tasks to optimize the production of oil & gas.
